Ruth Chris' Sweet Potato Casserole

This is another recipe new to me this year...and it is also excellent! 
A friend brought this to a Holiday Recipe exchange and I will definitely make it every year in the future. 
And before now, I avoided all Sweet Potato Casseroles.

Ingredients

Crust
1 c brown sugar
1/3 c flour
1 c chopped pecans
¼ c butter, melted

 
Sweet Potato Mixture
3 heaping cups mashed sweet potatoes
1 c sugar
½ tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs, beat
½ c butter, melted

Directions
Combine brown sugar, flour, nuts and butter in mixing bowl. Set aside. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine sweet potatoes, sugar, salt, vanilla, eggs and butter in a mixing bowl in the order listed. Mix thoroughly. Pour mixture into buttered baking dish.

Bake for 10 min.

Sprinkle the surface of the sweet potato mixture evenly with crust mixture. Bake for 20 minutes. Allow to set at least 20-30 min.
